Biography

Marilyn Quist Coates is the founder and CEO of 5pHifths (pronounced Five Fifths) Spa & Wellness, where she currently practices Clean & Clinical Skin Care, as well as  Integrative Wellness techniques for an exclusive clientele. Marilyn uses 5pHifths and her Good-Better-Best Wellness group, as a platforms to educate consumers and Wellness Enthusiasts about the importance of achieving and maintaining healthy skin & body balance. As she likes to say, “5pHifths is more than a Spa…it’s a Wellness Movement.”

Marilyn has dedicated her passion to the spa industry for nearly 20 years. She is a Licensed Esthetician, Post Graduate Instructor, and Business Strategist. She has worked with several pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical industry giants, where she has spent many years training Physicians, Nurses and fellow Estheticians from around the globe. 

You may be familiar with some companies she’s represented…just to name a few: ZO Skin Health® by Dr. Obagi, Allergan® Topical Aesthetics, Dermalogica®, CosMedix®, Jurlique® and most recently Beautycounter®.

Marilyn has inspired Aesthetic professionals globally and is now excited to share her years of experience with the everyday Spa Consumer and Wellness Enthusiast. Marilyn studied Broadcast Journalism and Political Science at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from the University of Missouri. She values the importance of continuing Education, and holds many advanced certifications including a post-graduate diploma from the International Dermal Institute.

Marilyn is a native of St. Louis, MO, who has called Georgia her home since 1989. She is married, has three grown children, and when she’s not “Spa-ing” or presenting to groups about Wellness, she loves to occupy herself with cooking, traveling and ballroom dancing.
